"What's a Sunday like?"
We gather at 10:30am. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly; like a community of real people who are happy to tell you why Jesus is Lord over their lives.
We start with singing together: a mix of contemporary music and classic hymns, all chosen to be meaningful rather than just musical. Lyrics teach us.
Then, children ages 1–8 head to SG Kids, a safe and fun environment where they'll hear Bible stories and learn more about Jesus. We believe there is great value in having parents and children worship together as much as possible, but the sermon can be more difficult to follow for younger listeners, so we offer SG Kids during the preaching time.
We take safety of our children seriously, and all our teachers and assistants are background checked and trained for various emergency situations. We utilize ministrysafe.com to train volunteers to protect our children.
During that time, we carefully preach and teach the Bible (the Word of God), generally preaching through one book of the Bible at a time, not skipping difficult passages, but instead striving to understand. In our preaching, we focus on how the Bible can be applied to our lives as individuals, as families, and as a church.
"Will I feel out of place?"
We hope not! Guests tell us often that they feel genuinely welcomed here. That's something we take seriously.
